Thrice For Melodrama

If you don't know what a TROPE is, pliss to read this: What is a trope?

Slap... Slap... Slap.
Head-turn... Head-turn... Head-turn.
I am now going to look at you with a mildly shocked expression on my face and a racy background music playing... THRICE!
Like a lot of things in life, some actions are to be done thrice in order to get the right impact. It is often seen in a lot of Bollywood movies and Indian TV soaps that actions are repeated thrice, sometimes in slow motion, sometimes not, sometimes with different camera angles. It adds to the overall melodrama of the moment.
This trope also helps add an extra three seconds to the overall, already excruciating and already extended films/episodes. This trope is usually accompanied by a fast-paced background music which is supposed to communicate shock, surprise or anger.
In action movies, this trope is also used when an expensive stunt is executed. Angry eyes are flashed three times with different camera angles to convey, "Yes! The person is angry and ready to kick some arse, Bitches!" Cars exploding, rag-doll-effect-accentuated bodies crashing on car wind-shields, extra-hard punches and flying kicks are often repeated thrice in true paisa-wasool style.
To witness this trope, tune in to Colors, SAB-TV or any dubbed South Indian movies on Set Max.
